Glooin records your microphone automatically. When you start a recording, Chrome will ask for microphone permission click Allow and your voice is captured along side your screen.
Tips for better audio quality
Use headphones with a built-in mic. The microphone on most Chromebooks picks up keyboard noise. A headset mic is much cleaner.
Close other tabs before recording. Browser notifications and tab audio can interfere with your recording.
Speak before you click. There's a 1-second warm-up start talking about a second after you click Start Recording.
⚠️School Chromebook and microphone access: If your school has disabled microphone access, you may need to ask your IT admin to allow it for the Glooin extension. Screen recording without audio still works normally.
Does Glooin work on school Chromebooks?
Yes as long as your school allows access to the Chrome Web Store. Glooin installs like any other Chrome extension and doesn't require administrator access to use.
If your school has restricted the Chrome Web Store, ask your IT administrator to add Glooin to the approved list. The Extension ID is: kggpgjckameciocgnokjiofdjjlfgeom
